Lending a helping hand to those in need with the Calgary Food Banks

Building strong community partnerships are an essential part of keeping our communities connected to the vital resources and services they need to thrive.

According to a study by Food Banks Canada, visits to food banks have climbed 20 per cent nationally since the arrival of COVID-19, with one-in-four locations experiencing a 50 per cent increase in demand.

As demand continues to increase in food banks across Canada, our friends at the Calgary Food Bank rely on partnerships like ours to lend a helping hand to ensure no Canadian goes without food.

To make this goal possible, some of our Rogers team members in Calgary rallied together during our annual “Give Together” month to restock the shelves of Calgary Food Bank and provide support to their community when it was needed most.

James McAra, Calgary Food Bank CEO, shares with us the impact our Rogers team members have had on the organization and how their support has made giving back to the Calgary community, possible.
