National Volunteer Week spotlight: Rogers takes pride in giving back to our communities

It’s National Volunteer Week!

As a strong Canadian growth company, we’re dedicated to bettering the communities where we live and work. We actively encourage our employees to take part in the Rogers Employee Volunteer program –  giving our employees one paid day off each year to volunteer with a registered charity of their choice.

Many of our employees opt to volunteer as a team, instead of individually. The experience proves to be a very rewarding team building experience!

For the past seven years the Burnaby Call Centre, has teamed up with the Vancouver Canucks to assist with the annual Canucks for Kids telethon. This was the largest telethon to-date, with 150 call centre volunteers fielding more than 1,700 calls and raising almost $150,000 to assist charities which support children’s health and wellness, foster the development of grassroots hockey, and facilitate and encourage education in British Columbia.

Volunteering is just one of the many ways Rogers gives back. Check out more about Rogers’ dedication to Community Investment over on our Community and Environmental Impact page and our 2015 Corporate Social Responsibility Report.
