"Mazda Legends in the Making" TORONTO, Oct. 23 /CNW/ - Mazda and Rogers Consumer Publishing are excited to announce a heartwarming new contest, the Mazda Legends in the Making contest launching today. This unique and interactive contest gives family and friends a chance to boast nationwide about their child athlete for a chance to win one of 10 weekly prizes of $2,500 cash. "We want to create a sense of community with this campaign," says Peter Whaley, Senior Director, Sales and Marketing for Mazda Canada. "Pride is up for grabs in the game, and we want to make our young athletes a part of the experience." Here's how you enter: Parents can log on to the Legendsinthemaking.ca website to nominate their child(ren) with:(1) A 30-second video OR photo of their rising star playing their favorite sport, and (2) Submit 100 words or less, telling everyone why their child is a legend in the making.Here's how you win: It's easy - start spreading the word and get voting! Nominators can send tell-a-friends encouraging friends and family to vote for their child. Fans are also part of the experience. Visitors to the site can view nominees and vote for their faves. Vote as much as once daily for your very own Legend in the Making! Each week, the child with the most votes will win a $2,500 cash award! "There are a lot of Canadian children with big sports dreams," says Whaley. "If we can give them some recognition at a young age it will encourage them to strive to be the best they can be."
