Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Season Comes to a Close in Olds with the Kioti Tractor Champions Cup, May 3-8

April 27, 2022 – The 2021-22 Grand Slam season is set to slide out in style next week as the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling slides into Olds, AB for the KIOTI Tractor Champions Cup from May 3-8. Exclusive television and streaming coverage of the Grand Slam season finale begins Thursday, May 5 at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT on Sportsnet and SN NOW. Hosted at the Olds Sportsplex, the long-awaited KIOTI Tractor Champions Cup event will feature 12 elite men’s and women’s teams from around the globe as they face-off in round-robin competition. Representing winning teams from top-tier curling competitions throughout the season, the pool of incredible talent set to take to the ice next week includes reigning Olympic gold-medallists Team Edin, recent Canadian national champions Team Einarson, 2022 women’s world champions Team Tirinzoni, record-holding Grand Slam winners Team Gushue and Team Jones, and Alberta’s very own Team Koe, Team Jacques, Team Bottcher and Team Sturmay. All participating teams will contend for a combined $210,000 prize purse and a berth in the 2023 KIOTI Tractor Champions Cup.

Sportsnet Broadcast Team
Live from the heart of the action, Sportsnet’s expert curling commentators are set to deliver exclusive insight and analysis from Olds. Play-by-play announcer Rob Faulds will be joined in the booth by celebrated Canadian Olympic medallists and curling analysts, Kevin Martin, Mike Harris, and Joan McCusker. Current Team Jones skip and 2014 Olympic gold medallist Jennifer Jones will also be returning to the booth for select broadcasts throughout the week.

Interviews and Media Accreditation
Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling competitors and Sportsnet curling commentators are available for phone and video conferencing interviews throughout the duration of the event.
