Rogers and Storm partner to improve fan experience - Basketball fans receive surprise gift to sold-out Rogers Slam Dunk Day

SUMMERSIDE, PE, Oct. 6, 2011 /CNW/ – Prince Edward Island basketball
fans scored big today when Rogers Communications announced a two-year,
premier title sponsorship agreement with the Summerside Storm of the
National Basketball League of Canada (NBL).

Rogers first play as the new title sponsor of the Storm was to provide
Prince Edward Islanders with 4,000 complimentary tickets to Rogers Slam Dunk Day. On October 26, 2011 basketball fans will be courtside to witness all the
excitement as the Summerside Storm take on the Saint John Mill Rats in
the first game at Credit Union Place.

“Rogers is proud to be sponsoring the Summerside Storm in their
inaugural season and giving basketball fans the opportunity to
experience the exciting entertainment  of a live sold-out Storm game,”
said Susan Gordon, Vice President of Marketing Services, Rogers
Communications. “Rogers Slam Dunk Day demonstrates our commitment to the team as title sponsor and our
commitment to Summerside by offering this gift to residents interested
in watching their newest sports team in action.”

The sponsorship agreement will enable Rogers to support the Storm’s
community involvement at schools, basketball camps and store locations
in addition to game execution opportunities including Rogers
contesting, Rogers Zone and brand recognition, resulting in more excitement at home games for
fans and players of the NBL.

are eager to start shooting hoops and Rogers Slam Dunk Day is a great opportunity for as many people as possible to enjoy the
memorable experience of a live Storm game.”

City of Summerside. “This is an excellent opportunity for residents to
watch a professional basketball game live and support our team team as

Coupons will be distributed  for the  Rogers Slam Dunk Day to minor league basketball players, the Boys and Girls Club and other
not for profit organizations in the Summerside area, courtesy of Rogers
to be redeemed for tickets at the Credit Union Place. Basketball fans
can also pick up their complimentary coupons for tickets at any Rogers
location in Summerside and surrounding areas.

first ever regular season Summerside Storm game,” said Gordon.
