Today, we are proud to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day! Across Canada, Indigenous Peoples Day is an opportunity to celebrate Indigenous culture, experience Indigenous art, and promote reconciliation. To celebrate, Amanda Rheaume, Indigenous artist and activist, performed an acoustic set for our teams, with music inspired by Indigenous experiences and culture. Following the performance, 680 News host Momin Qureshi and Amanda sat down to talk about her experience as a Metis Indigenous performer, and how we can create a culture of inclusion and promote reconciliation for all Indigenous Peoples in Canada. From coast to coast to coast, our regional offices tuned in to watch Amanda’s performance, celebrating with viewing parties complete with Indigenous-inspired catering and treats. Together, we’re proud to continue our journey to build an inclusive culture for our people, our customers, and communities. You can learn more about our commitment to Inclusion & Diversity here.
