Rogers Expands Suite of Residential High Speed Internet Services in Newfoundland

Three new Internet service options deliver increased flexibility and choice ST. JOHN'S, May 8 /CNW/ - Rogers Cable Communications Inc. today announced the launch of three new high speed Internet services for customers in Newfoundland. With download speeds of 1Mbps, 10Mbps and 18Mbps joining the 500kbps and 7Mbps speeds currently available, customers now have a broader selection of services to meet their specific needs.The three new service options are: - Lite - $34.95 per month, offering download speeds of up to 1Mbps and a usage allowance of 25GB per month - Extreme - $54.95 per month, offering download speeds of up to 10Mbps and a usage allowance of 95GB per month - Extreme Plus - $99.95 per month, offering download speeds of up to 18Mbps and a usage allowance of 95GB per month"Over the years Rogers has witnessed a change in the way our customers use the Internet," said Ken Marshall, Regional President in Atlantic Canada for Rogers Cable. "Each customer engages in vastly different ways; whether it's streaming video, downloading music, online gaming or simple web browsing, our users need fast, reliable access. With the introduction of these three new services, our customers now have more choice and are able to obtain a package that more appropriately reflects their personal usage style." Each of the three new tiers feature unique speed and usage allowances. Through these, Rogers customers are better equipped to select the most appropriate package for their specific bandwidth requirements. For those customers who require more usage than what is included in their specific package, they are able to purchase additional usage on a monthly basis.
