Rogers first Canadian carrier to bring LTE roaming to Europe with Switzerland launch
Rogers and Swisscom service launch means Rogers customers can enjoy
blazing fast LTE speeds on their next Swiss adventure
TORONTO, Aug. 9, 2013 /CNW/ – Rogers Communications, Canada’s leading
diversified communications and media company, today announced a new
agreement with Switzerland telecommunications company Swisscom AG to
deliver bilateral LTE roaming to customers of both mobile service
providers. As of July 31st, Rogers and Swisscomm customers travelling with a 2600 MHz device can
experience some of the world’s fastest available LTE wireless internet
speeds while in Canada or Switzerland.

Rogers international LTE roaming agreements further enhance the
company’s extensive worldwide roaming coverage available to customers.
Switzerland joins Hong Kong and South Korea as the third international
market where Rogers customers can access LTE speeds while roaming. This
service launch also allows Swisscom customers to access Rogers blazing
fast LTE speeds when roaming in Canada. Rogers plans to launch LTE
roaming in additional countries in 2013 to ensure customers continue to
access the best possible wireless experience, regardless of whether
they are in Canada or travelling abroad.
