Rogers Kicks Off NHL Season with First-Ever Free Ticket Drops in Three Cities

Rogers is giving away 300 free tickets to its customers to each home opener of the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs.

“We know there is nothing quite like being in the building for opening night,” said Terrie Tweddle, Chief Brand and Communications Officer, Rogers. “As Canada’s home of hockey, Rogers is excited to celebrate the start of another NHL season by creating memorable experiences for fans and giving hundreds of customers the chance to be part of the action.”

On September 29, Rogers is giving away 145 pairs of tickets to each home opener on a first come first serve basis at a surprise location in each market. Details, including the timing and location of each giveaway will be revealed on Rogers Instagram at 11:30 a.m. local time that morning. Fans unable to travel to the locations can follow and comment on the Instagram post by 2 p.m. local time for a chance to win one of 5 pairs of tickets for that team’s game.

To qualify for the in-person ticket giveaway, customers must show the MyRogers app logged in to an active Rogers internet or wireless account, a wireless device connected to the Rogers network, a Rogers Red Mastercard, or a hard copy of a Rogers bill with accompanying photo ID.
