Over the past few days, more information about the devastating tragedy that happened in Nova Scotia has come to light. We know this senseless act is having a tremendous impact on the tightknit community in Atlantic Canada, and its effects have also been felt nationwide. Our hearts are with everyone who is grieving.
Rogers is donating $50,000 to the Stronger Together Nova Scotia Fund, created jointly by the Canadian Red Cross and Province of Nova Scotia to support individuals, families and communities impacted by this tragedy. Canadians can contribute to the fund directly by texting the word Strong to 20222 for a one-time $10 donation or 45678 for a $20 donation, online, or by calling toll-free 1-800-418-1111.
Rogers media teams JACK 92.9, NEWS 95.7, community news website HalifaxToday.ca, and Rogers TV in New Brunswick and Newfoundland will be streaming an online vigil called “Nova Scotia Remembers” in honour of the victims on Friday, April 24, 2020.
