Rogers Wireless and Intellione launch truly live traffic reports with io-traffic™

io-traffic™. Each second io-traffic collects and aggregates millions of GPS
and mobile phone locations, creates road speeds and then paints a LIVE picture

to use this innovative technology in Canada to provide its listeners with the
added value of very timely and accurate traffic reports in the Greater Toronto

    A government study released in March, 2006, by Canada's Minister of
Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, showed the costs of traffic
congestion to Canadians in urban areas is between $2.3 and $3.7 billion per
year (in 2002 dollar values). The report also states that this is a
conservative estimate as it did not include non-recurrent congestion caused by
random events such as bad weather, accidents and other incidents.
