Shaping the leaders of tomorrow through our New Graduate Leadership Program

We believe in empowering the next generation of leaders, changemakers and young professionals who are looking to make an impact and reach their full potential.

One of the ways that we do this is through our 12-month rotational New Graduate Leadership Development Program. Here, recent graduates have the opportunity to get involved in meaningful projects, contribute real work, develop key skills and learn from a diverse group of leaders across the business, gaining invaluable work experience that will help them grow their careers.

Applications for the 2022 New Grad Program are currently open and close on October 3rd, with successful candidates starting in May 2022! Learn more here.

We sat down with some of our current New Grads who shared how the program is supporting them in making their future possible:

Antoine completed a Bachelors in Software Engineering at Concordia University and is currently working in the Software Development stream on our Technology team.

When looking into post-graduate work experiences, Antoine felt that he needed more exposure to the business world and found the rotations in the New Grad program enticing. “The number one thing that attracted me to the New Grad program at Rogers was the fact that I get to try out three different rotations with three different teams working on different technologies and frameworks,” he shared.

While he’s still in his first rotation, Antoine says it’s been the best decision he could have made coming out of university. “Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive. I also appreciate the fact that I meet with several managers every month to discuss my rotations and get to share any feedback I have to improve the program for the future New Grads.”

For Antoine, the New Grad program has helped him make “his dream career” possible.

Emma completed both a Bachelor of Art History and Bachelor of Commerce at Queen’s University

Knowing she wanted to work in marketing, Emma chose to apply to the New Grad program so that she could explore various roles within the field. “It was also important to me that I worked somewhere that embraced, valued, and supported inclusion and diversity,” she added.

Similar to Nara-Jayne, Emma’s best piece of his advice for those interested in the New Grad program is to get in touch with current and past New Grads and participate in as many recruitment events as possible.

For Emma, the New Grad Program has helped “make her career development” possible.

Nara completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management at Concordia University and is currently in the HR New Grad Program completing her first rotation as a Campus Recruiter.

It was Nara’s interest in exploring her passion for HR that led her to apply to the New Grad program. “I knew that I had a strong interest for Talent Acquisition based off my prior work experiences, but I recognized the importance of broadening my skillset and felt that the HR New Grad Program could help me do just that,” she shared.

Every day, she knows that she is getting closer and closer to achieving her goal of becoming a leader in her field.

For those interested in applying, she recommends spending some time connecting with graduates from the New Grad program, or those currently in the program, to get a feel for what the experience is like.

I would also encourage you to speak to a Career Advisor at your school to help you create an application that will help you stand out amongst other applicants,” she elaborated.
