Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada Announce 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs Second Round Broadcast Schedule

TORONTO, April 29, 2015 /CNW/ – The quest continues! Eight teams remain – including the Calgary Flames and Montreal Canadiens – as Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada tonight announced its 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs second round broadcast schedule, following a record-setting first round.

The action gets underway on Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT with Washington Capitals @ New York Rangers on CBC, followed by Calgary Flames @ Anaheim Ducks at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Sportsnet. Night two of the second round (Friday, May 1) features the Montreal Canadiens taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on CBC, followed by the Minnesota Wild visiting the Chicago Blackhawks at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet (See full broadcast schedule for all series below).

The first round of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs is currently averaging 1.3 million viewers, marking a 36% increase over last year’s Round 1 average*, while Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE usage is up 4x over last year.  

Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada will provide coverage of all second round games, with all games available on Rogers NHL GameCentre LIVE.  

Sportsnet’s and Hockey Night in Canada’s deep roster of hockey commentators will continue to provide best-in-class coverage throughout the second round, and will be assigned as follows:
