Sportsnet is Canada’s Exclusive Home of Everything Blue Jays; Season Launches April 3

 

 TORONTO (March 27, 2017) Spring has sprung and Canada’s boys of summer are back. Beginning next Monday, Sportsnet is taking fans back to the ballpark for another can’t-miss Blue Jays season with all 162 regular season games on Sportsnet, Sportsnet Radio Network and Sportsnet NOW. As the exclusive home of everything Blue Jays, Sportsnet will also produce and broadcast all 81 home games in 4K.

The 2017 Blue Jays campaign gets underway on Monday, April 3 with the season opener against division rival Baltimore Orioles at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT on Sportsnet, Sportsnet 590 The FAN, Sportsnet 960 The FAN and Sportsnet NOW. (Click here for the Blue Jays on Sportsnet broadcast details)

Key details of Sportsnet’s wall-to-wall 2017 Blue Jays coverage include:

Television

  • Blue Jays Central – Fan-favourite duo Jamie Campbell and Gregg Zaun lead off every Blue Jays broadcast with the half-hour pre-game show, including a one-hour season opener special on April 3
  • In the BoothVeteran Buck Martinez returns to the television broadcast booth for the play-by-play call alongside analyst Pat Tabler. Award-winning broadcaster Dan Shulman and announcer Matt Devlin will be also on hand to call games throughout the season
  • On the Field Reporters Hazel Mae and Arash Madani bring fans to field-level for the latest news and updates from the Blue Jays dugout
  • Analytics AngleMLB analyst Jonah Keri returns to Blue Jays Central for his weekly analytics segment. Keri will also contribute to baseball coverage across the Sportsnet Radio Network throughout the season
  • Tim & Sid – Hosts Tim Micallef and Sid Seixeiro tee up the Blue Jays Home Opener live from Rogers Centre, April 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and Sportsnet NOW

Game Broadcasts on the Sportsnet Radio Network – available on 21 radio stations across Canada

  • In the Booth – Returning for his 36th season as the voice of the Blue Jays, Jerry Howarth has the radio play-by-play call alongside analyst Joe Siddall and Mike Wilner
  • Blue Jays Talk – Following each regular season game, Wilner engages with fans and provides post-game recaps and analysis

Sportsnet 590 The FAN:

  • Baseball Central / Baseball Central at Noon – Fans can keep up with the latest MLB news with host Jeff Blair and Kevin Barker weekdays at 11 a.m. ET. The show moves to the Noon ET slot beginning July 4
