Canada Takes on Croatia in First Round Davis Cup Action, Feb. 2-4 on Sportsnet

Canada’s quest for tennis glory begins anew this weekend as the 2018 Davis Cup season gets underway with a World Group first round tie against Croatia. Sportsnet has exclusive coverage of the three-day event beginning Friday, Feb. 2 at 8 a.m. ET / 5 a.m. PT (full broadcast schedule below). Looking to take its first step towards the title and advance to the quarter-finals, Canada visits Croatia to play a best-of-five match series on an indoor clay court in Osijek, Croatia.

Hosting from the studio is Caroline Cameron, who takes on play-by-play duties for the first time, alongside analyst Robert Bettauer with Arash Madani reporting from Osijek.

The match-up is headlined by young Canadian star Denis Shapovalov. Also playing for Canada are Vasek Pospisil, Peter Polansky and veteran doubles player Daniel Nestor.
