Tara Jean Stevens Announced as New Co-Host of Breakfast Television on City in Vancouver, Beginning June 19 

– Tara Jean Stevens, fan-favourite radio broadcaster, actress, and playwright, joins Riaz Meghji to host Breakfast Television, airing weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on City –

 

 

VANCOUVER (June 13, 2017) – Beginning Monday, June 19, Tara Jean Stevens joins Riaz Meghji to energize Vancouverites each weekday morning on Breakfast Television, on City.

“Tara Jean has entertained morning audiences for more than 15 years with her quick sense of humour and fun approach, making her the perfect choice to join Breakfast Television,” said Manuel Fonseca, Supervising Producer, Breakfast Television, City. “Entertaining, informative, and relatable, Tara Jean and Riaz will make a great pair, giving viewers a boost of news and information in the morning to start their day.”

A well respected radio broadcaster, Stevens is a two-time recipient of the British Columbia Association of Broadcasters (BCAB), Broadcast Performer of the Year award. A popular morning radio companion, Stevens was co-host of JACK’s Morning Glory with Kiah & Tara Jean morning drive show on Breakfast Television’s sister radio station, JACK 96.9 from 2012 to this past Spring. Prior to joining JACK, she co-hosted the afternoon drive show on Virgin 95.3 from 2009 to 2012. In addition to her broadcast career, Stevens is also an award-winning playwright and actress. At the 2006 Jessie Awards, she won the Sydney Risk Prize for Outstanding Script by an Emerging Playwright for her play, “My Father’s House.”

Born and raised on the West Coast of British Columbia, Stevens is also a proud mom to two children, Violet and Ozzy.
