Ted Rogers Community Grants – How the Inuuqatigiit Centre for Inuit Children, Youth and Families is helping the next generation of Inuit Leaders to build a better tomorrow, today
Recently, we’ve been spotlighting stories of our Ted Rogers Community Grant recipients who continue to go above and beyond in supporting today’s youth as they become leaders of tomorrow.
The Ottawa-based Inuuqatigiit Centre for Inuit Children, Youth and Families provides a culturally safe space for Inuit youth and their families to access valuable resources that enhance their quality of life. With a focus on supporting high risk youth, their programs guide Inuit youth to make healthy choices, develop leadership skills and build strong relationships with each other and their culture, to support one other along their growth journeys.
At a time when the pandemic affected so many families, the Ted Rogers Community Grant helped staff gather and deliver packages to families, filled with food, resources and activities, to help them stay connected and engaged as a family.
See how the Inuuqatigiit Centre for Inuit Children, Youth and Families is making a difference in their community:
