Awards gala this week offers the opportunity to witness, celebrate and
be inspired by the marketing industry’s creative frontrunners
TORONTO, June 10, 2011 /CNW/ – Canada’s biggest and longest-running
advertising awards show, proudly presented by Marketing magazine, is
polishing up the hardware for its big gala, Wednesday, June 15.
The most coveted prizes in the Canadian advertising industry, the
Marketing Awards feature 38 categories, plus—brand-new this year—four
multicultural categories and expanded social media, branded content and
experiential/event marketing categories. This year’s awards are
co-chaired by Christina Brown (vice-president creative, Cloudraker) and
Shawn King (vice-president & CCO, Extreme Group), with a gala attended
by the advertising industry’s best and brightest.
The 89th Marketing Awards take place on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at the
Fairmont Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto. The party kicks off at
7:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by the awards show at
8:15 p.m. and the on-site after-party starting at 9:30 pm.
