Rogers is committed to supporting the collective journey toward truth and reconciliation in meaningful ways and in partnership with Indigenous Peoples. A key part of this commitment is helping to empower the next generation of Indigenous youth through sports.

Jays Care Foundation’s Field Of Dreams program has awarded $150,000 this year to Witset First Nation, located in the Witsuwit’en Nation of northwest British Columbia to refurbish its local baseball diamond. The donation supported the installation of backstop netting, accessible dugouts, and other field improvements. The field is now accessible for local children and youth and has amplified participation between neighbouring communities and enabled more inter-generational games.

Through Field Of Dreams, over $15 million has been invested to support the building or refurbishment of baseball fields in 145 Canadian communities. Rogers is Jays Care Foundation’s largest funding partner, donating over $10 million over the past decade to support youth programs across the country, with another $1 million recently announced.

Rogers, the B.C. government and the Witset community have partnered to bring new wireless connectivity to residents and businesses, which has improved public safety and economic development, and enhanced youth access to educational resources. Rogers is committed to connecting communities, which is a vital part of reconciliation.
