Tony Staffieri
President and CEOTony Staffieri is the President and CEO of Rogers Communications, a leading Canadian technology and media company proudly committed to providing the very best in wireless, residential, sports and media to Canadians and Canadian businesses.
A highly regarded and seasoned leader, Tony previously held the Chief Financial Officer position at Rogers for nine years where he played a lead role in delivering strong results and long-term shareholder value, solid operational execution, improvements to customer experience and best-in-class team engagement. Prior to Rogers, Tony held senior leadership positions with Price WaterhouseCoopers, Celestica International and Bell Canada Enterprises.
Tony is Chair of the Toronto Metropolitan University Board of Governors, and a Board Director of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE).
Glenn Brandt was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Rogers Communications in January 2022. He is a trusted advisor with over 35 years in financial management including extensive experience across corporate finance, raising capital and working with credit rating agencies.
Glenn has been with Rogers for 31 years, most recently as Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance where he led Procurement, Supply Chain, Tax, Treasury and pension investing initiatives. Prior, he served as Vice President, Treasurer and led Investor Relations and Corporate Development for the company. Glenn has been part of the Rogers Treasury group since joining Rogers and during this time, Rogers’ public debt issues have aggregated approximately $50 billion issued in Canada and the United States. Before joining Rogers, Glenn spent time at The Toronto-Dominion Bank in Corporate, Investment, and Commercial Banking.
Glenn holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, and a Masters in Business Administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business. He lives on a small farm in Millgrove, Ontario with his family.
As President and Chief Operating Officer, Residential & Business, Robert Dépatie is responsible for delivering a strategic vision and growth plan across Connected Home, Rogers for Business and Customer Experience at Rogers. This includes driving growth and enabling a best-in-class experience for customers across wireless, wireline and large Corporate, Public Sector and Small and Medium Enterprise segments. Robert brings nearly 20 years of executive leadership in telecom and media experience, including four years as a member of the RCI Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Rogers leadership team, Robert founded Robert Depatie & Associates Inc. where he partnered with companies and leaders across a variety of sectors to create and implement their strategic plans. He held senior leadership positions including President and CEO of Quebecor Inc. and Quebecor Media and President of le Marquis/Planters and Executive Vice-President of Heinz Canada. In 2003, he was named President and CEO of Vidéotron ltée where he quickly put in place a compelling organization-wide vision and strategy to guide the company towards its goal of becoming a Canadian telecommunications leader. His strategy centered around a customer-first focus, and over ten years he delivered significant improvements in customer satisfaction, revenue growth and operating profit.
Robert is deeply committed to giving back and building up communities, having been actively involved in fundraising for the Maison de réhabilitation Raymonde-Chopin and in the revival of Notman House as an incubator for web and mobile development in Montréal.
As President, Wireless, Phil Hartling is responsible for the company’s Wireless business, including the Rogers, Fido and chatr brands.
As a seasoned telecom executive, Phil brings 30 years of deep industry experience in both cable and wireless across a variety of functions, including Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Provisioning, and Corporate Affairs.
Phil has been with Rogers for more than 20 years in various leadership roles in both operational and strategic functions. He has a strong track record of delivering profitable growth in the business, instilling operational discipline, and building high performing teams. Most recently, Phil led the company’s service area expansion program, which aims to connect over one million homes and businesses to our world class networks over the next five years. Prior to that, Phil led the Connected Home business.
Phil holds a Commerce degree and a Masters of Public Administration from Dalhousie University. Phil and his partner Kathy live in Nova Scotia with their many dogs and horses.
Bret Leech returned to Rogers as Chief Human Resources Officer in February of 2022. He is responsible for leading the company’s HR portfolio across Rogers, including creating an engaging and inclusive employee experience that enables our teams to deliver the very best for our customers, communities, business and each other.
In the past 25 years, Bret has held a series of senior executive leadership positions with telecommunication, financial and technology organizations in Canada, China, Japan and the United States, bringing a strong international perspective to Rogers. Bret is a seasoned and respected leader who has led several high-performing teams that have been recognized for their winning talent, total rewards, development and communications strategies, including Defi Solutions, Fiserv and SourceHOV.
Bret holds an BA from Dalhousie University, an MBA from the University of Toronto, and is a graduate of Harvard’s Advanced Management Program.
Ron McKenzie was appointed Chief Technology & Information Officer for Rogers Communications in July 2022. In this role, Ron leads an expert team of engineers, developers, and technology professionals responsible for designing, building, and operating the company’s wireline, wireless and media networks, as well as IT and digital strategy and systems.
Ron was formerly the President, Rogers for Business from June 2021 – July 2022, where he was a key partner with Technology, responsible for delivering Wireless, Wireline, IoT, Advanced Services and Data Centre products and solutions to small, medium, large and public sector businesses across Canada.
Prior to taking on this role, Ron led Technical Operations at Rogers for more than two years, where he was responsible for Install, Service & Maintenance, and Technical Support for both Wireless and Wireline. He led the acceleration of our Technical Operations transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic to deliver a three-year plan in a matter of weeks – keeping our customers connected, and our team members safe.
Ron has deep roots and expertise in the technology and telecom industry, spanning more than 30 years, across Canada and the United States, partnering with large scale operators around the globe. Prior to joining Rogers, Ron spent more than 10 years in senior leadership at Shaw Communications in Calgary, including leading operations as the Chief Operating Officer, and as the executive lead of Business.
Ron is a respected leader who has extensive experience across operational and network equipment functions, always with a focus on supporting and enabling customers, and creating new services from a customer-centric view.
Ron graduated with a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and has attended the CTAM Executive Management programs at Harvard. He is currently Secretary of the Board of Directors – on the executive committee – of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). In his role on the Board of SCTE, Ron is contributing to the future of connectivity through technological leadership and innovation to help build and give back to the industry.
Zoran Stakic was appointed Chief Transformation Officer at Rogers in April 2023. In this role, Zoran will lead the complex integration process across the organization to bring Shaw and Rogers products and services together, and ensure a seamless transition for our customers. Zoran’s deep operational experience and knowledge of Shaw products and services is a tremendous asset to the company and will help make a meaningful impact to our customers across the country.
Zoran joins Rogers from Shaw, where he spent the last two decades of his career fulfilling many executive leadership roles, including most recently Chief Operations Officer and Chief Technology, where he successfully led the operations at Shaw, as well as the creation of a new centralized technology organization for Shaw. Responsibilities within these roles focused on the management of Information Technology, Engineering, Business & Technology Transformation, Digital /Online Experience, Business Intelligence, Product Development and Next Generation Wireless, Broadband and Video Services.
Prior to joining Shaw Communications, Zoran held senior level management positions including Vice President, Information Systems and Technology Solutions at Sprint Canada, as well as, Vice President, Corporate Project Management Office & Strategy Implementation.
Zoran holds an MBA from Queen’s University and Masters of Science Degree in Engineering. Other accomplishments include completing a Masters Certificate in Project Management, Cable Executive Management Program at the Harvard Business School and Product Development course at MIT.
Terrie Tweddle was appointed Chief Brand and Communications Officer in April 2023. Terrie is responsible for leading the communications and company brand efforts to advance the company’s brand and reputation with key stakeholders internally and externally. Terrie returned to Rogers in the Fall of 2022 after previously spending 12 years at the company.
Terrie is a passionate and results-driven executive with 25 years experience building culture, brand and reputation, managing complex issues and creating award winning campaigns. Prior to Rogers, she led communications and corporate social responsibility functions at Visa International, Sun Life Financial, and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. She started her career at Molson-Coors.
Terrie holds a BA from the University of Ottawa and is a graduate of Harvard’s Leadership Development program.
Colette Watson was appointed President of Rogers Sports & Media in January 2022, responsible for the company’s $2 billion business and approximately 3,000 employees across Canada from a variety of sports and media properties, consisting of 23 conventional and specialty TV channels including Sportsnet, 29 local TV stations, 53 radio stations, 3 OTT services, 2 podcast networks, Today’s Shopping Choice, and data offerings.
A leader in Canada’s broadcast industry, Colette Watson has 30 years of experience across programming, regulatory, and communications including a variety of senior roles across Rogers Media, Regulatory and Cable divisions. Most recently, she set the strategic direction for non-sports conventional, specialty, and community television assets and oversaw programming, production, and operations, while innovating the viewer experience with compelling content across multiple platforms.
Colette is passionate about public affairs, policy and the future of objective journalism in today’s world. In addition to her role at Rogers, she was the President of CPAC, a not for profit, commercial free specialty television channel where she directed her efforts to ensuring that Canadians have access to unfiltered and unbiased coverage of politics, parliament and public affairs.
A highly respected industry leader, Colette is also a past recipient of the esteemed Trailblazer of the Year award by Canadian Women in Communications.
Mahes Wickramasinghe joined Rogers in January 2022. As Chief Commercial Officer for Rogers, Mahes is responsible for key initiatives and operations to strengthen the strategic growth and performance of the organization, including Strategy, Corporate Development, Supply Chain and Procurement, Performance Management, Corporate Security, Cyber Security, Real Estate and Capital Management. He is also responsible for Financial Services including Rogers Bank.
He has spent over two decades in senior executive roles across large Canadian and global organizations where he successfully led operations and managed complex acquisitions across several large organizations. He most recently led the strategic direction and growth of Canadian Tire Financial Services as President and CEO, and was previously Executive Vice President International and Chief Corporate Officer at Canadian Tire Corporation. Prior to these roles, he was Chief Administration Officer at CIBC Retail Bank and CIBC First Caribbean International Bank respectively, and held executive leadership positions at Bell Aliant, BCE Inc. and Rogers Communications.
Mahes began his career as a Chartered Accountant in Sri Lanka. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Sri Lanka) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management (UK). He is on the Board of Directors for SunOpta Inc., and The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. He was also on the Board of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind and continues to serve in an advisory capacity.
Marisa Wyse is the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Rogers. Marisa is a strategic leader with deep knowledge of legal and regulatory affairs. Marisa joined Rogers in 2014 and has a proven track record of driving key business files across the organization. Since joining Rogers, Marisa has held increasingly senior roles in Tax and Finance, and prior to this role served as Vice President, Corporate Development, where she was responsible for leading mergers & acquisitions initiatives.
A champion for mentorship initiatives, Marisa plays an active role in key professional development programs across Rogers.
Prior to joining Rogers, Marisa practiced as a tax lawyer at a Canadian law firm, with an emphasis on corporate transactions.
Marisa holds a J.D. in Law from the University of Toronto and was admitted into the Ontario Bar in 2006. She also holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from McGill University.
